The UK Plastics Pact is a collaborative initiative, delivered by WRAP (The Waste and Resources Action Programme) that will create a circular economy for plastics. Viridor is a founder signatory to the UK Plastics Pact. The aim is to bring consumer brands, packaging, retail and recycling companies together to tackle plastic pollution and to maximise recycling and reprocessing opportunities. It brings together the entire plastics packaging value chain behind a common vision.
The programme is part of the sustainability strategy, and it contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goal 12 – ‘Striving for more responsible consumption and production’.
